LA Noire From Rockstar Games

Any gamer worth their salt knows exactly who Rockstar Games are, the makers of the Grand Theft Auto series of games is probably their most well known series of games that has been running since October of 1997 with record sales each time the latest update to the Grand Theft Auto Saga is released.

Rockstar have recently released their newest game LA Noire and it is a beauty, comparable in many ways to their previous success while in others it is a completely different kettle of fish.

You play the part of Cole Phelps the main character of the game. Formerly a marine serving in WWII, Phelps has returned from war to become a member of the L.A.P.D. where he successfully worked his way up to become a detective. The year is 1947 and the game is of course set during this time and played in a replica of the city at this time that is extremely detailed and accurate.


LA Noire is much more involved than previous games released by the company in that you have to do a lot more investigative work, finding and figuring out what clues mean is an integral part of the game as is interrogating suspects so those who like a good whodunnit or like to solve puzzles as well as mindlessly blast innocent bystanders in the street will love this game.

Which version out of the xbox 360 and playstation 3 will be better? Its a little to early to tell at this stage so if you own both consoles it might be better to hold your horses and see what is said in comparative reviews before you fork out for either version. Another option is to keep your ear to the ground at some of the console forums, as with most games there is always a ‘PlayStation 3 vs Xbox 360 debate going on and there will likely also be the LA Noire PS3 vs Xbox360 arguments going on that might just give you a few pointers as to which is the better option to choose from.
